Aug. 23--EDEN -- The first open house Jerome County Commissioner Diana Obenauer held in June lacked her two elected colleagues, spent more than half the time on tax talk and went without the heat that many expected her adversaries to bring against her.
The sequel was a bit more thrilling.
For the first hour, Obenauer stood alone and fought off more than a dozen questions about her views on confined animal feeding operations, including her recent effort to seek research from state agencies on health issues.
