A popular Central New York facility that helped keep golfers' swings sharp and their minds sane during the long winter months will be shutting its doors by the end of September.
The Golfers Dome, off Route 31 in Clay, will be closing after 12 years, with the property being sold.
"I've been saying to myself, as a golfer, "What am I going to do in the winter?"' said Sean Hynes, vice president of Clay Dome Associates, the company that has operated the dome since 2003. "The obvious answer is to go to Turning Stone," he said of the only other domed golf facility in Central New York.
