BUDAPEST. AUGUST 24. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - CONSTRUCTION: Hungarian Arm of Cement Maker Ups Sales by 5% - The Hungarian division of Switzerland-based cement maker Holcim, Holcim Hungaria Zrt was able to exceed its H1 forecasts and upped its sales by 4.4% year on year, said CEO Richard Skene. The positive early figures were caused by a mild winter allowing for scheduled construction projects to start early, paired with a drop in national cement imports. However, the company expects the momentum of the Hungarian construction sector to come to a halt in H2, thus causing a drop in sales. [Vilaggazdasag]
