Aug. 25--The Greeley Police Department is fully staffed for the first time in years, but police say the recruitment won't stop because of high turnover.
The ranks of police officers employed by the police department rose recently to 138, up 11 people from the beginning of the year. Officials say the increase wasn't the result of more money being available to hire more police officers but because administrators have made a more concerted effort to recruit.
Greeley Police Chief Jerry Garner said he can't remember the last time Greeley was fully staffed with officers.
