Today, consumers look to sleep disorder centers to solve their problems, and centers are springing up across the country.

The numbers tell it all. Dr. John Penek, medical director of the Sleep Disorders Institute, a division of The Breathing Institute, with offices in Morristown and Edison, N.J., sees more than 40 new patients a week.
