LA VERDAD: For the last couple of years, 32-year old Armando "Tito" Tam, has been working on the debut album of his band, La Verdad. Of Nicaraguan-Chinese heritage, this dancer and vocalist is an ambitious businessman who sells real estate by day and leads said salsa dura band by night. He dropped hints that he was working with Pablo "Chino" Núñez on the release, and that he was recording it in New York. Many wondered why he was not doing it in the Bay Area and using local musicians. Some discounted his efforts as a lot of hype. His CD From a Different Perspective is now out, and Tam and his lead singer, Carlos Rosario, are showing that the proof is in the pudding.
