The state Court of Appeals on Friday reinstated a lawsuit a Newport woman filed against a Louisville adoption agency.
Campbell Circuit Judge Julie Reinhardt Ward had thrown out the lawsuit against Carolyn Arnett and Adoptions of Kentucky, saying the issue had been decided in courts in Jefferson County and Dane County, Wis. But the appellate court said the other lawsuits dealt with different issue: who should adopt the boy.
Amanda Goebel's lawsuit, the judges said, dealt with whether Arnett, her attorney in the adoption proceedings, committed malpractice or other wrongs. Arnett owns the adoption agency, ...
