CHICAGO - For some time now, David Ortiz has been bemoaning the approach opposing pitchers have taken when facing him.
The Red Sox designated hitter might have come up with a solution.
For the third time in the four-game series against the White Sox, Ortiz swung at the first pitch he saw and hit it over the fence. This time it was a two-run blast off Chicago starter Javier Vazquez and the key blow in a four-run fifth inning during the Red Sox' 11-1 win yesterday at U.S. Cellular Field.
