WADSWORTH, Ill., Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Recent heavy rainfalls in Northeast Illinois not only caused damaging floods, but polluted waterways such as the Des Plaines River because of the loss of wetlands and their capacity to store flood waters and remove contaminants.
