Aug. 29--A 69-year-old Bethlehem man has sued Northampton Community College, claiming he lost his job at the school because of his age.
Leonard Barkis of 1032 Wood St., filed suit Tuesday in Northampton County Court. He is represented by Bethlehem attorneys Donald P. Russo and Nuria Sjolund. The suit seeks unspecified damages.
College spokeswoman Heidi Butler said Barkis "helped out in the gym on a very part-time basis, but I cannot comment on the lawsuit."
The suit gives the following account.
