Aug. 29--HARLINGEN -- Harlingen athletic director Randy Cretors confirmed Tuesday that the 2007 season opener between Harlingen and Los Fresnos would be played as scheduled at Boggus Stadium on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Boggus underwent a facelift this summer -- particularly to the home side -- that at times seemed might not get finished by kickoff on Friday.
But for the most part, the new-look stadium is done, and Cretors said the Card-inals and Falcons would kickoff the 2007 high school football season as planned
"The game was scheduled for Boggus Stadium and it's going to be played at Boggus Stadium," Cretors said.
