Aug. 29--Do you really care why the Big Ten Network and Comcast Cable can't agree anymore? Don't you just want to watch the games, as you always did, for free -- or, perhaps, get to watch the ones you couldn't before?

That apparently won't happen for cable subscribers. At least, not with lower-echelon football games such as Indiana-Indiana State, Purdue-Eastern Illinois, Michigan-Appalachian State and Ohio State-Youngstown State. It will either cost you about $5 a month for a sports tier, if Comcast has its way, or about $12 a month for a network tax if it goes on basic cable, as the Big Ten prefers.
