Aug. 30--The Army Reserve's 402nd Civil Affairs Battalion, a local unit that has been deployed to Iraq twice and lost two members to that war, is moving out of the Town of Tonawanda, an Army spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday.
"Yes, the unit is relocating," said Tina Beller, a spokeswoman for United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command [Airborne]. Beller said she did not have more information about the move and did not comment on speculation about where it could be headed.
A formal announcement is in the works, she said.
