Craig denied any wrongdoing at time of arrest.

WASHINGTON _ It got worse for Idaho Sen. Larry Craig Thursday with the release of a tape offering lame excuses for his men's room sex bust as the arresting cop angrily called him a liar.

"Embarrassing, embarrassing," Sgt. Dave Karsnia said of Craig, citing his unusual pants-lowering technique to explain away his bumping of the cop's foot in the next stall in an alleged homosexual advance.

"I'm a fairly wide guy," said the 62-year-old Craig. "I had to spread my legs when I lower my pants so they don't slide, okay?"

"I sit down, um, to go to the bathroom and, uh, you said our feet bumped. I believe they did," Craig said on the tape released ...
