Aug. 31--Ever since B.B. Bates was 11 years old, she's had a dream of playing softball at UCLA.
Through hard work and countless hours of driving down the hill for practice and tournaments with her travel ball teams, Bates -- now 16 and a junior at Victor Valley -- is on her way to making that dream come true.
Earlier this month, the Victor Valley senior verbally agreed to play softball for UCLA, beginning with the 2009-10 season. She will officially sign in November 2008.
