NEW YORK _ The fifth inning was over, but Phil Hughes was still staring out at the field and the mound from his perch in the dugout. Hughes, the Yankees' ace of the future, had his third straight rough start Friday night in a hideous 9-1 loss to the Devil Rays, a hangover game from the giddy sweep of the Red Sox.
"It seems," Hughes added, "like I've been doing a lot of that lately."
