COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Apr. 17--Jackie Brown gets a phone call almost every hour of every day, from someone wanting something from MCI Communications Corp.
As one of the county's largest - and richest - employers, MCI's people and corporate pockets are in high demand.
Brown, community liaison for MCI's group of 3,000-plus local software engineers, is on the front lines of the rush, deciding when to say no and when to say yes.
"We take the responsibility seriously," Brown said. "We realize we have a responsibility to the community."
