It's been three months since I last reported on the Corsa Lite exploding back windscreen issue.
At that time, I'd heard from 270 Corsa Lite owners who'd had their "backlites" shatter with a frightening gunshot-like bang, for no apparent reason.
At the time of my first report on this phenomenon back in April, General Motors South Africa (GMSA) had not put any procedures in place to ensure that affected owners were made aware that this was a manufacturing fault, so as a result, most had been made to pay for the glass replacement, either in full or in part as an insurance excess.
