Sep. 1--HARLINGEN -- What else did you expect from a Manny Gomez coached Harlingen Cardinal football team?
The Cards' defense held Los Fresnos to one offensive touchdown, forced four turnovers and played with the mindset of "crazy guys" as Harlingen avenged last years loss with a 30-13 win against the Falcons on Friday at Boggus Stadium.
And when the defense wasn't trapping Falcons, the offense -- in particular running back Ted Snavely -- was running all over them.
Snavely rushed for a career high 285 yards on 27 carries and scored three touchdowns in the 2007 season opener for both teams.
