Sep. 1--COLONIE -- Local economic development and planning officials are looking to redevelop the area around Railroad Avenue in Colonie and Guilderland, believing it could one day become home to nanotechnolgy firms working with Albany NanoTech.
Albany County and the towns of Colonie and Guilderland are going to conduct a $25,000 planning and transportation study largely funded through the Capital District Transportation Committee.
Railroad Avenue runs from the back of the Target store at Northway Mall in Colonie and intersects with Fuller Road, just north of the University at Albany campus and Albany NanoTech. It continues east a short ...
