Sep. 1--HOUSTON -- Five Port Neches-Groves offensive linemen started their first varsity game on a grand stage Friday.
Because of that, PN-G quarterback Harrison Tatum was happy for progress made from the first half to the second in a 19-0 loss to La Marque, last season's Class 4A Division II state champion.
"Our offensive line is young; we played the fourth-ranked team in the state in Reliant Stadium, so I thought they did a good job," said Tatum, a junior who completed 10 of 22 passes for 123 yards.
