Spent much time archiving files lately? It happens to everyone and gets worse with each succeeding round. The first time you fill up your hard drive, you usually can find large chunks of dead wood to delete--never-used programs that came preinstalled on your PC, old tutorial files, a game you don't play anymore, and the like.
But once the obviously expendable files are gone, and software compression schemes like MS-DOS's DriveSpace or Stac Electronics' Stacker aren't enough to stretch your storage further, things can get pretty grim.
