Sep. 2--AUSTIN -- Texas senior soccer captains Kelsey Carpenter and Greta Carter do everything together: study, rent movies, go out to dinner and constantly make fun of themselves.
They are like any other best friends.
Except that Carpenter inadvertently kicked holes in Carter's face two years ago when they were on opposing teams, resulting in a concussion and culminating more than a decade's worth of bad blood between the two.
They can laugh about it now. But no one was laughing then.
