Sep. 2--The atmosphere at Medaille men's soccer practice is dubbed the "competitive caldron."
Every single drill that head coach Dan Krzyzanowicz runs the players through results in a winner and a loser.
And no one wants to be a loser. No one wants to do push-ups or extra running. After every single drill.
The message is clear -- everything is a competition and Medaille wants to win at everything. If the coaching axiom that you play how you practice is true, then the Mavericks certainly never take a minute off during a game.
