Sep. 2--Hamilton County Commissioner John Allen Brooks said he is continuing to seek an independent, outside audit into how the Tennessee Methamphetamine Task Force is spending its money.
"I would think that's the most appropriate way to handle this," he said. "I'd like to know where all that money went to."
Mr. Brooks said he is trying to get the five commission votes needed to approve an outside audit checking into task force purchasing since 2004, the date of the most recent audit. He originally called for the audit in June.
