BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 18, 1995--Birmingham Steel Corporation today announced that it has signed a ten-year agreement with EDS under which EDS will assume responsibility for managing, developing and integrating all information technology systems for Birmingham Steel.

The agreement covers Birmingham Steel's corporate headquarters, all existing mini-mill facilities, and the Company's American Steel & Wire subsidiary. The arrangement also extends to future acquisitions made by the Company.
