It's all about memorable encores for home run king Barry Bonds. Now that the San Francisco Giants slugger has broken Hank Aaron's 33-year-old home run record by hitting No. 756-and 757 and 758-Bonds says batting will be a lot easier for him.
"I'll tell you one thing: I'm going to hit a lot better from now on," he promises after a celebration in the clubhouse.
While Bonds piles up the most hallowed record in baseball, the seven-time National League MVP sets his sights on 800 home runs and 3,000 career hits (his 758th homer was his 2,918th hit). Bonds says he wants to play in 2008 and has no plans to retire.
