Sep. 1--I am noticing a trend downtown that is making me salivate with excitement but a wee bit nervous for my shopping habits.
I found out this week that the former Bridal & Formal Center at 229 Hay St. is going to be a Beef O'Brady's family sports pub.
Beef O'Brady's, a kid-friendly and sports enthusiast franchise, will be a welcome addition to a downtown that lacks a place for the whole family to watch a game and eat dinner. It's the second Beef O'Brady's for owners Erica and Moe Licardo -- the other one is on Camden Road -- and they plan to open by the end of the year.
