German auto supplier Kirchhoff opens HUF 3.5 bln new plant in Hungary

BUDAPEST. SEPTEMBER 4. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - German-owned automotive supplier Kirchhoff has Tuesday opened a 6,400 square meter addition to its Hungarian manufacturing unit in Northern Hungary's Esztergom, built in a HUF 3.5 bln investment, state news agency MTI reported.

Kirchhoff, which had invested HUF 5 bln since setting up shop in 1998 in Esztergom prior to the current project, will supply chassis components such as shock absorbers to carmakers Suzuki and Opel. Kirchhoff has already been a major supplier of Suzuki, which operates a car factory in the ...
