Long Beach is a city filled with Art Deco style.
There are many buildings that sport the energetic, geometric, futuristic style that was so popular in architecture and design in the 1920s and 1930s.
But what is arguably Long Beach's largest Art Deco structure -- as big as many New York skyscrapers built in the distinctive style developed between the world wars -- wasn't built in Long Beach.
Instead it floated into Long Beach under its own power in December 1967.
