NEWPORT, R.I., Sept. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Some people preserve antiques in cabinets but today in Newport, Rhode Island, The Museum of Yachting and Panerai had 61 classic yachts racing across Narragansett Bay in heated competition at the 28th Annual Museum of Yachting Classic Yacht Regatta. With 35 sailboats 50 years or older and 4 which are at least 100 years of age, these ageless vessels got a chance to exhibit their speed and beauty. There were two circles for the Saturday fleet racing with wind, which started off at 12 knots and dropped to 8 with racing just over an 11-mile course.
