Central Rlys workshop to manufacture stainless steel wagons
Tiruchirapalli, Sep 5 (PTI) The Central Railway Workshop at Golden Rock near here would soon start manufacturing goods wagon out of stainless steel sheets instead of the conventional mild steel, according to a senior official.
"It was a policy decision of the Railway Ministry to go in for Stainless Steel Wagons (SSW) and the workshop at Golden Rock would be the first among the four workshops nominated by the ministry to produce them," Southern Railways Chief Mechanical Engineer V Carmelus said.
