Background
Psychotropic medications are widely prescribed by general practitioners in Europe as a whole, and the highest levels of prescription are seen in France [1, 2]. Increasing consumption among adolescents is a major public health problem [3], regardless of whether the medication is prescribed or obtained informally (from a family member, for example).
