Sep. 7--After last winter's oft-told squirrel skirmishes and the wholesale destruction of my tulip bulb inventory by the greedy beasts, you might assume I'd give up on tulips for next spring and be satisfied with pansies, violas and other seasonal color above ground.
But you would be wrong.
I have not decided what means I will try this winter to thwart squirrels, but I've filed away many remedies and recourses sent by helpful readers.
