Sep. 7--After several months at the bottom of 20 U.S. airlines in customer esteem, Tempe-based US Airways is boosting its customer focus from the top down.
The company announced Thursday it has hired three new officers.
Robert Isom, former GMAC's chief restructuring officer and head of ground operations and airport customer service for Northwest Airlines, was named executive vice president and chief operating officer. Isom will pilot the airline's flight operations, in-flight services, maintenance and engineering, airport customer service, reservations, cargo and Express operations, the company said.
