Sep. 7--Our points system is based on a team's 2006 performance and its potential production in 2007. Teams are rated on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the highest) on offense, defense, special teams and coaching to arrive at an overall point total. The maximum a team can achieve is 20 points.
AFC NORTH
1. Baltimore Ravens (16.5)
Offense: RB Willis McGahee should upgrade NFL's 25th-ranked rushing attack. QB Steve McNair has good targets in WRs Mark Clayton, Derrick Mason and Demetrius Williams and TE Todd Heap. Offensive line looks good if LT Jonathan Ogden is healthy. Rating: 3.5.
