Article: Blast Cuts Russian Gas Flows To Greece.

Russian natural gas supplies to Greece were halted on the morning of Aug. 6 due to a pipeline blast in neighboring Bulgaria.

According to media reports, the explosion was caused by a pipeline leak in the southwestern part of the country near the town of Blagoevgrad, 80 km from the border with Greece. To compensate for the lack of supplies Greece has reportedly started extracting gas volumes from storage. The pipeline is expected to be repaired within the next few days.
