DaimlerChrysler India to launch buses in 2008
Kolkata, Sep 8 (PTI) DaimlerChrysler India Pvt Ltd, manufacturer of luxury Mercedes-Benz cars, would launch premium buses in the country during the next calendar year, a company official said.
Launching the CL-Class Mercedes-Benz here today, managing director and CEO of DaimlerChrysler India Wilfried Aulbur said that the company was looking at the truck and bus segments in the country.
He said that the chassis components of the bus would be imported from Germany, and the body would be built by a Jalandhar-based company as per specifications.
