Sen. Barack Obama (27 percent), in a virtual three-way tie with Sen. Hillary Clinton (26 percent) and ex-Sen. John Edwards (26 percent) in a recent Washington Post-ABC News poll in Iowa, is making a push for votes in South Carolina, another early primary state, with a new
ad and tough talk aimed at appealing to Blacks, the Democratic party's most faithful constituency. Iowa's caucuses will kick off the presidential nomination process in early January and South Carolina's primary will be held that month as well.
