Sep. 10--BOYNTON BEACH -- Bishop Todd McGregor is afraid of heights. Still, he got in the bucket truck Sunday noon and rose nearly 30 feet closer to the sky to bless the cross atop St. Joseph's Episcopal Church.
The new cross meant a lot to St. Joseph's parishioners, who lost the old one to Hurricane Wilma in 2005.
More than 50 parishioners gathered outside the church after the Sunday service to see volunteer Ric Filer maneuver the bucket truck with McGregor and the Rev. Martin Zlatic of St. Joseph's ascending toward the white, aluminum cross.
