Sweden will conduct flight demonstrations this fall of McDonnell Douglas' AH-64A Apache helicopter and the Russian Mi-28 Havoc helicopter as the first step toward a possible buy of attack helicopters, top Swedish defense officials said yesterday.
An buy of 20 to 24 attack helicopters is one of the highest priority new programs Sweden is considering.
Sweden will decide next year on a five-year program for defense and will determine then whether it can afford to buy attack helicopters, Military Attache Brig. Gen.
