Russian President Putin optimistic that differences over U.S. NMD in Europe will be resolved
ABU DHABI. Sept 10 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin is optimistic that the problem of the prospective deployment of elements of the U.S. national missile defense (NMD) system in Poland and the Czech Republic can still be resolved, Putin told the Russian media on Monday.
"There is still time, and we are optimistic," he said of negotiations with U.S. President George Bush.
