Sep. 7--It was a moment of destruction for Douglas A. Bard, which turned into a moment of inspiration for his father, inventor of Stop-A-Spill, a patent-pending invention designed to prevent desktop spills.
"It has the potential to be on every desk in the world," said Robert A. Bard, 65, of Long Beach Township's Loveladies section.
The younger Bard, 35, of Spring Lake and a real estate agent with Harvey Cedars-based Oceanside Realty, said he had been having one of those mornings one April, four years ago.
"I was working on my laptop, and in the middle of the madness, I hit my coffee mug," knocking it over, Douglas said.
