BEDFORD, Mass., April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Opta Food Ingredients, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPTS) announced today that it has begun the expansion of its Louisville, Kentucky, Opta(TM) Oat Fiber production facility that will result in a doubling of its current capacity at that plant.
The company said that the expansion was based on the projected requirements of a group of customers who have notified Opta of their intent to increase their use of Opta's proprietary Opta(TM) Oat Fiber product. The company anticipates utilizing traditional bank financing to fund the engineering and construction of the facility.
