Sep. 8--EAST ROCHESTER -- A 10-foot sinkhole in the parking lot of the Evergreen Family Restaurant means the East Rochester business will be shut down indefinitely.
Restaurant owner Argyrios Apostolis of Chippewa Township said nobody knows when the restaurant will be able to reopen. The sinkhole that developed in the parking lot over the course of several months and is up against the building forced the East Rochester Volunteer Fire Department to close the Route 65 restaurant last Friday afternoon until the hole could be repaired.
