Sep. 11--STOCKTON -- Sixteen area companies employing more than 2,000 workers and investing more than $100 million in capital combined will be recognized next week during the 43rd annual Industrial & Technology Barbecue.

The event puts a spotlight on industrial and labor-intensive businesses that have chosen to locate in the area or remain here and expand their operations.

For example, the partnership of Four Truckers Nationwide and 4T West Inc. chose a site in Stockton's port district about 18 months ago to open its newest trucking terminal.
