Pittsburgh airport expands free wi-fi service.

Sep. 11--FINDLAY TWP. -- The Allegheny County Airport Authority has expanded its free high-speed wireless Internet service at Pittsburgh International Airport.

The service enables people to use laptops or handheld devices such as PDAs to connect to the Internet to retrieve e-mail, surf Web sites or download files without having to plug in the devices.

"We were the first airport in the country to offer free Wi-Fi service in 2003, and there still aren't very many that do today," Tony Gialloreto, the authority's senior manager of information technology, said Monday.
