Russia's VASO aircraft maker to be technically modernized

VORONEZH. Sept 11 (Interfax) - Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) plans to invest more than 11 billion rubles in the technological modernization of the VASO aircraft-manufacturing company (RTS: VASO) in 2007-2015, Vyacheslav Kleimenov, vice governor of Russia's Voronezh region, said on Tuesday.

VASO (Voronezh Joint Stock Aircraft-Building Society), which is based in Voronezh, is to make 62 aircraft under contracts with the Ilyushin Finance Co., Kleimenov told reporters.
