Surveying the practice field, Marist wide receivers coach Marshaun Tucker watched the tenacious play of senior Colton Thomas with no small amount of shared emotion.
Tucker, much like his protege, was an undersized receiver during his playing career. Because of his physical limitations, he had to work harder than most, an effort that eventually made him a standout at the University of Oregon.
It's a route Tucker expects Thomas to make, too.
"I've played at a high level, and I really feel like he could play at the college level," Tucker said. "No question about it."
