ANAHEIM -- Troy Glaus, MVP of the 2002 World Series, has been linked to alleged steroids purchases during his time with the Angels, Sports Illustrated reported Friday on its Web site.
Glaus, a former UCLA standout now playing for Toronto, received shipments of two types of steroids between September 2003 and May 2004 according to the SI.com report. The shipments of nandrolone and testosterone, both on Major League Baseball's banned list at the time, were said to have been sent to an address in Corona that was traced to Glaus.
